Machine tools retailer ArcelorMittal is offering customers a chance to make their own tools in a small space.
The company has just launched its first machine tool shop at a Target store in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.
The machine shop is called Arcelormation and it will be staffed by people who have spent the last 10 years in the cutting-edge industry.
It will offer customers the chance to do their own cutting, grinding and polishing on their own machines, and have access to cutting tools and a large selection of tools for home and office.
Arcelor says the machine shop will allow customers to make a wide variety of machines, with a wide range of sizes and price points.
The shop will be located in a 12,000-square-foot building with a floor plan of 15,000 square feet.
It is the first machine shop to open in Minnesota.
It will be open from May 21 through Sept. 15.
